The decision followed a visit by NSW Environment Minister Robyn Parker last week.
During a tour of Jervis Bay Shoalhaven City Council staff briefed the minister on the lack of boating facilities and possible solutions.
Shoalhaven Mayor Joanna Gash said she left the briefing encouraged by Minister Parker’s commitment to the formation of an inter-agency investigation to help find a longer term solution to the issue.
“The current boating facilities within Jervis Bay are extremely inadequate for such an iconic and scenic waterway,” said Cr Gash.
