Unfortunately their total of 106 from 40 overs proved not enough, as they lost by six wickets.
John Blackmore top scored with 17, followed by Damian Smith (10) and Graeme Cord (8).
Ron Cowlishaw and Bob Ducie bowled well at the start of Keira’s innings but it was Tony Innis who achieved the first wicket.
Before play John Blackmore and Keira’s captain both made speeches on the late Ken Lockyer.
Ken was a life member of Keira and a long term member of GONE.
Ken’s cricket achievements were many but his friendliness and commitment in helping others were much appreciated by all who knew him.
GONE will play their annual Australia Day game against the Berry Old Boys at Berry on Sunday, January 26.
