SILVERWARE is on the line for the first time in 2013/14 this Sunday when Berry-Shoalhaven Heads and Nowra go head to head for the SDCA one-day premiership at Bernie Regan Sporting Complex.
After successful limited overs campaigns, it came down to the final round of one-day games on December 21 to decide who would meet Nowra in the one-day final.
Bomaderry and Ex-Servicemen both had a chance to scrape into the final but would rely on a Nowra victory in round nine.
The desired result would not eventuate as Berry took the victory and gained a psychological edge over their rivals heading into the Christmas break.
Both teams have been strong performers over the last few seasons but are yet to get their hands on any silverware, the only exception being Berry as the reigning Twenty20 premiers.
But as they head into this weekend’s long awaited contest, it is difficult to predict who will raise the trophy on Sunday afternoon.
