Showcase to power innovation
RENEWABLE energy community group Repower Shoalhaven will host an event next week featuring carbon neutral wine and talks on energy innovation.
The New Energy Showcase will take place at Silos Estate in Jaspers Brush on Wednesday, November 6 at 6.30pm.
Repower Shoalhaven is inviting the community to what promises to be a stimulating evening of presentations from some of Australia’s energy pioneers.
The cost to the public is $5 per person and free for Repower Shoalhaven members.
Guests will receive a glass of carbon neutral wine and will have the opportunity to hear from Clear Sky Solar Investments director Christina Kirsch and Algae.Tec executive chairman Roger Stroud.
Christina had a key role in developing the first community shareholder solar project in Australia.
She will be sharing her knowledge and experiences to help the Shoalhaven pull off similar projects.
Roger will be discussing the technology and vision of his advanced algae biofuels company which aims to commercialise sustainable fuels for manufacturing and transport, including green jet fuel.
Algae.Tec’s pilot plant is at Bomaderry.
Members of the Repower Shoalhaven committee will also be on hand to answer questions about local projects they are currently working towards.
