The Shoalhaven Heads Bushido Judo Club member, dual Australian champion and previous Oceania champion, Easton travelled to Cairns on April 13 and 14.
The dynamic 16-year-old took on all comers from all over Australia and overseas to win the highly competitive cadet girls division and retain her ranking as number one cadet girl in the Oceania.
It was only six weeks ago that the Berry local dislocated her shoulder at another international championship.
Showing great intestinal fortitude, Easton faced many opponents at the Oceania championships, who she beat easily.
“Tinka has shown that she is a real trooper. She has shown that she is committed to judo by looking after her injury and coming back in her first tournament to win so convincingly in this international event,” said coach Bruce Fagan.
Easton also participated in an older division and finished with a silver medal.
