In the distance I could see two emu like figures bending, standing, walking, bending, standing and walking.
Soon I had joined their movement.
We were all picking up a trail of small pieces of plastic, domestic rubbish (four bags full).
Thankfully that is not usual on this splendid arc of Shoalhaven beach. There is of course the occasional rogue bait bag, balloon ribbon tail and missing thong, but today’s value add in the flotsum was a plasticised penalty notice from the City of Sydney for a parking infringement with car rego, make and date.
I am going to frame it (the notice I mean).
