During the shoot, Kidman shocked the crew by driving an F100 ute around the rural estate, enjoyed fresh fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden and even dived into the Pacific Ocean for a bracing early morning swim at Seven Mile Beach.
Fellow Australian and Oscar winner Lizzy Gardiner was the stylist for the shoot which was directed by US photographer and moviemaker John Urbano, who only recently completed shooting a documentary with Justin Timberlake.
Kidman is the first global ambassador for Swisse Wellness, with the first of a series of four TV commercials for the brand, airing nationally on Sunday.
Swisse head of marketing Helen Sali, who was at the two-day shoot in Terara, said Kidman showed how she unwinds and embraces health and happiness to achieve balance away from the public eye.
“We’re delighted to have the star presence of Nicole featuring in our campaign. She was a picture of health and happiness in the beautiful environment,” she said.
“The director and crew were blown away by the stunning landscape and we’d like to acknowledge and thank the NSW state government and Destination NSW in ensuring a smooth shoot.”
The campaign will launch in the US during the Ellen DeGeneres show later in April, which will feature segments filmed during Ellen’s visit to Sydney and Melbourne.
It will be the company’s first advertising effort in the US market since its launch in February.
