Chairman of Shoalhaven Anglican Schools Council Bill Shields said Mr Pitt had led Shoalhaven Region Anglican Schools since October 2010 with professionalism, vision and energy.
“He has successfully led the development of the strategic plan for the next five years,” Mr Shields said.
“He has also contributed to the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation through his knowledge of eLearning, and promoted a professional learning and teaching environment across our two schools, which will place them in a sound position to advance into the future.
“I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Chris’ contribution to our schools and thank his wife, Gaye, for her support of Chris during the past three years,” Mr Shields said.
Head of campus Lorrae Sampson will take up the role of acting principal from term two.
