THE first two weeks of club championships saw another three records fall, with U6 boy Lucas Evison breaking the 17 and-a-half year 100 metre sprint record. This is quite an achievement as this was last broken in September 1985.

Lucas ran in a time of 18 seconds flat, breaking the existing record of 18.3 seconds.
Once more in the record books is thrower Samantha Peace in the U14 girls.
Samantha broke her own javelin record for the third time this season, throwing 28.25 metres that stood at 27.30 metres.
Lacey Bruce in the U17 girls broke her own discus record for the second time.
Her previous record stood at 30.10 metres, and Lacey threw 31.02 metres.
The athletes who placed first or second in each event progress to the state championships, to be held in Homebush next month.
Those progressing to state, along with the results, will be printed next week.
A special thankyou goes to our club officials and parent helpers who worked on the grounds, all who helped transport our large and heavy cabanas to and from Wagga Wagga.
We would also like to thank the parents who support their children by travelling the distance to make competing possible for our athletes.
Competition continues with state multis being held in Orange this year on March 2 and 3, and state championships in Homebush wrapping up the season on March 22, 23 and 24.
Presentations will be held at Bomaderry Bowling Club on Sunday, April 7.
Age championship, point score and grand prix trophies will be awarded at the presentation.
