Cheryl Powell was the runner–up.
Helen Lee surprised herself by winning a close fought second division and Frances Savige was the runner-up.
In the third division the consistent Christine Bray triumphed over Catherine Hayward.
Soo Martyn won the nett from Marilyn London in first division.
Carole Andon played well to win the second division nett from Pauline Plewes, and Betty Jackson amazed herself to prevail in third division nett from Jan Coyle.
Next Tuesday will be the monthly medal for May.
The Gold Pennant Team defeated The Grange 3 ½ to 1 ½ while the Silver Team also defeated The Grange 4/1 on May 9.
The men on Wednesday played their usual stableford with 39 starters and Justin Clarke won division one with a good 38 points from Brian Holland with 37.
Emil Herkelman won division two with a great 41 points from John Seymour with another good 39.
The Vets on Thursday again missed the ladies’ company but 24 turned up for a nine hole stableford.
The winner was the good captain, Peter Keogh with 21 points from Bob Makin with 20 points.
Tomorrow will be the men’s monthly medal from 10 am with a 13 hole mixed stableford from 10.45am.
The men on Saturday had 40 players for a stableford and the winner of division one was the reliable Wally Drazenovic with 40 points from Brian Stoi with 37 on a countback.
Brian Somerfield played well to win division two with 43 points from John Etheridge with 42 points.
This Saturday will be the Captain v President stableford event postponed from last week.
All members are reminded of the annual general meeting of the club to be held on Sunday, May 29 at 10am.
