The June long weekend often signals the start of whale watching season in NSW and this year for operators it will be more important than usual.
After bushfires, floods and COVID-19 businesses in Jervis Bay are looking forward to welcoming visitors back to the region.

Jervis Bay Wild said they have already had interactions with 15 whales this season and will be offering 15 cruises across the weekend.
With great whale watching conditions forecast for Saturday and Sunday morning, it is expected lots of visitors will be keen to experience it.
Managing Director of Jervis Bay Wild Brendan Aulsebrook said due to coronavirus restrictions, it was best to book ahead.
"Normally our flagship port venture - The Whale Whisperer has a capacity of 150 guests, however we will cap that capacity to only 50," he said.
"We know that we expect guests from Sydney, Wollongong and locals too and we are committed to keeping everyone safe.
"Our team have attended and passed courses that means that we understand our responsibility to our guests and to the greater community in Jervis Bay in ensuring that guests are healthy."
