While the birthday dinner plans are now officially on hold until next year, Bomaderry Rotary isn't letting the lockdown keep their spirits down.
Bomaderry Rotary's Paul Ell said through Zoom the club has managed to keep in touch with their members and has continued to hold weekly meetings.
"We are so excited to be celebrating 50 years of service to our community this year," Mr Ell said.

"While it's a shame that our birthday bash has been postponed, we are looking forward to holding an even bigger and better event later down the track.
"Like everyone else in the community, we have been struggling with the social distancing challenges posed by Covid-19.
"Thankfully, Bomaderry Rotarians haven't let the pandemic prevent us from getting together and supporting one another throughout this ordeal."
Thanks to the initiative of president Karen Trigg and secretary Verne Mutton the club has managed to continue to meet through Zoom.
"Even though this technology is new to many of us, the response of our members has been fantastic," Mr Ell said.
"We have had near full attendance at our weekly virtual meetings and have heard from some really interesting guest speakers."
Those include - Ranjeev Shrestha from the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in Nepal who spoke about the 'Empowering Women through Goat Farming project' and Danielle Watkins who spoke about her work with the Waverley Community co-op in Tasmania.
"It has been really pleasing to see how strongly our members have engaged with our club throughout this period," Mr Ell said.
"Our members haven't allowed age to be any barrier to learning how to adeptly use mediums like Zoom.
"Even though we're managing to hang in there through this challenging period, we certainly look forward to being able to meet again face to face and getting back to work in the community on our service projects we had planned for this year."
