Your wife is at work.
Suddenly there is a knock on the front door.
You walk over to the front door and open it. There in front of you are two females.
They seem to be okay, but why are they here at your door?
One girl asks to use the phone.
At this point, there are a couple of things that you can do.
You could let them in to use the phone and while you are watching one of the girls, the other is flogging your wallet, or iPhone, your computer or anything else that is portable and not nailed down.
Or you could deny them access to your home and offer to contact the police for them.
This should get them running down the driveway at light speed.
Your house is your castle and you are the gatekeeper. You do not have to let any person into your house unless you want them in there.
I would definitely say that random people rocking up to the front door and wanting to use the phone does not qualify for entry. Send them on their way.
Next Subject - If you are out shopping, please be aware of what is going on around you.
There are crooks around that are looking for any vulnerability you may have in regards to the security of your wallet, purse or handbag.
We are still getting incidents where people have not zipped up their bags or looked away for a moment and in a split second, their wallet or purse have disappeared.
I seem to be going on about this nearly every week. Please think about the security of your valuables and we can all move on.
