It's our very own BAFTA recognised event, showcasing the best Australian and International short films and it's coming back to Huskisson.

Hand-picked in Bondi from over 3,500 entries, audience members will have a first look at the hottest shorts of today.

One entry includes regular Huskisson visitor Rebekah Jackson. Rebekah and her family spent countless summers down in Huskisson and said she can't wait to add another.

"It's good to be back, I come down almost every New Years to visit our family holiday home," she said.

"I love going to regional areas to showcase my work because it's just regular people coming to watch and enjoy themselves."

Rebekah's short film 'For the Girl In The Coffee Shop' is a classic rom-com featuring two coffee-shop regulars sipping the same coffee, but never actually talking to one another. As the infatuation grows, so do their nerves.

"I feel like it takes you on a journey that you don't expect," she said.

"We are all at the very early stages of our careers and it's just great to see people coming to see what we can do."

After starting to shoot in 2018, Rebekah's film premiered along Hollywood Boulevarde last June.

Flickerfest is celebrating its 29th year in 2020.

Other Australian films on show include 'Rebooted' by Michael Shanks, 'Chicken' by Alana Hicks, and 'The Egg' by Jane Chio.

Screening on best International shorts is 'Mémorable' from France which features Louis, a painter whose world seems to be mutating. 'The Jackpot' coming out of Germany and commended in the best EU short film.

Lastly take a journey to The Louvre and the streets of Paris with 'The Marvellous Misadventures Of The Stone Lady'.

The festival runs from 6pm - 8:30pm at Huskisson Pictures along Owen Street, Huskisson.
