Ashleigh Reith Meere took 10-month-old Jase to farewell his father, Jayden Taylor, at his memorial north of Bumbo Road.
Mr Taylor, 28, of West Nowra, died in collision with a truck on January 28, while driving to Bodalla to work with his father. Another Nowra man driving the 14-tonne truck also died.
"We were thinking about moving there," Ms Meere said.
Mr Taylor was well known in the four-wheel drive community.
"A convoy of 25 people came down and left a monument," Ms Meere said.
"His car meant a lot to him, he built it from the ground up. It was highly modified and engineers spent a lot of time on it."
Ms Meere met Jay when she was 17. They fell in love three years ago.
"He was a clown - that one person who was always smiling," she said.
"He had such a unique laugh you could hear a mile away.
"He got me out doing things I have never done before, like camping and fishing.
"He was going to take me to Fraser Island in March for my birthday."
She urged drivers to be careful and to "always hug your loved ones as you don't know how long we have".
Mr Taylor's sisters in Queensland and family in the Eurobodalla Shire were also grieving.
