The decision to not go ahead with these events in 2020 follows the recent cancellation of shows in Albion Park, Bowral and Cobargo.
The 172nd Kiama Show was scheduled for January 24-25 at Kiama Showground.
Kiama Show Society president Neil McLaren said the running of the event entailed a 35-member committee and about 200-300 volunteers.
Mr McLaren believed the last time the show had not gone ahead was during World War II.
He said the committee had considered the "demands that weigh heavily" on their volunteers, competitors, judges, stewards, entertainers, attendees and the rural community.
"This combined with the effects of the ongoing drought make the decision to cancel the most appropriate action," he said.
"This is for the safety and well-being of all attendees and the welfare of the livestock.
"Given the weather changes, if we get conditions like they're forecasting for this Friday or last Saturday, to have people out on a showground in 40-degree weather with very poor quality, it's too much to ask.
"We extend our condolences and sympathies to all those affected by the fires."
The Berry Show was due to take place on January 31 and February 1.
In a statement on the Berry Show's Facebook page, organisers said it had been a "difficult" decision for the show committee.
"The committee cannot, in good conscience, invite and welcome visitors and competitors to our town while there continues to be a possible threat of fire," the committee's post said.
"In cases of serious bushfire threat, the Berry Showground could be an evacuation ground for larger animals utilised by Local Land Services."
