All over the Shoalhaven people either helped others by giving them clothes, food, shelter and much more.
Many people found themselves stranded during the emergency while they waited for roads to open.
When traffic started to build up along the Island Point Road and Grange Road intersection the staff from Schutz Landscape and Garden Supplies knew they had to act.
Owner Lea Schultz said they walked up and down the roads and asked the stranded people if they needed to use the toilets.
"There were just cars everywhere," Lea said.
Traffic on the road started to build up after last Tuesday's "crazy fire day".

Lea said her son Braiden took it upon himself to open the gates and invite people to use the facilities.
She said many grateful people took up their kind offer.
Lea added many people were upset and needed support which they were happy to offer.
Even dogs got the chance to get a drink of water.
