The Currowan Fire tore down on the village on Thursday and the scars will be visible for ages.
It appears no homes were lost during this hellish night but some structures did not survive.
Residents were happy that they now have seen the worst of this terrible fire.
The emergency services teams did a great job and pretty saved the village from destruction.
The firefighters teams were still on the job yesterday and were making sure parts of the still smouldering fire were put out.
Just down the Princes Highway the main operation was clearing and knocking down some dangerous trees which could take awhile.
The highway itself could be closed for several days yet.
