Shoalhaven City Council is installing five new 200 watt LED car park lights in a project costing $30,000.
The lights are being installed in order to improve disability access.
New lights will be installed in both all-day car parks sections in Osborne Street and the bottom section of the eastern side of Collins Way, adjacent to the Nowra School of Arts area fronting the St Vincent de Paul Society shop.
Council has already installed a new electrical meter board, light pole foundations, trenching and laid electrical conduits.
The project is set to be completed by mid-December 2019, pending no delays on the current wait for the delivery of five light poles which are due early December.
Once the light poles are delivered, installation and testing will begin.
