Statistics show in 2018/19, there were 423 incidents of domestic violence assaults and for 2017/18, there were 339 incidents of domestic violence assaults in the Shoalhaven.
The statistics mean 423 people, most likely women, were targeted in 2018/19 and 339 people in 2017/18.
The Nowra Domestic Violence Committee keeps an eye on the number of people attacked and have been preparing for the White Ribbon event on Friday.
The White Ribbon campaign is a global movement of men and boys working to end male violence against women and girls.
The domestic violence figures come from the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research and the committee, for many years, has been highlighting the high number of incidents.
The committee and Shoalhaven City Council are hosting an information event and morning tea on Friday, November 22 at the Nowra School of Arts from 10am to 12 noon.

People at the event, will hear from local guest presenters and get information about a range of support services within the Shoalhaven area.
The event aims to raise awareness of the committee's work to prevent and end violence against women and children in the local community.
White Ribbon ambassador Command Warrant Officer Gary Fuss, who has first-hand experience preventing the devastation wrought by domestic violence, will speak at the event.
The ambassador his big but realistic ambitions.
"What I would love to achieve is probably the same as every ambassador, zero," he said.
"Being a realist, that will probably never happen, unfortunately. But what I would like to see is women having the ability to speak out, women having the ability to actually get assistance when they do."
The ambassador would like young men to speak out against domestic violence.
Meanwhile, this year the committee held an art competition for children and young people, in order to increase their awareness of respectful relationship.
The `Say It In Pictures' artworks will be on display at the morning tea and the winners will be announced.
Meanwhile, the committee is an inter-agency group of local service providers who provide services to people affected by domestic and family violence in the Shoalhaven.
