The completion marks the Shoalhaven's biggest sporting infrastructure, with the facility placing the region firmly on the international sporting radar.
The $16.4 million development spans across 5,675 square metres, and has been fitted with the facilities to bring international basketball and netball games to the region. The new centre includes four multi-sport courts, over 550 grandstand seats, drug testing clinic and courtside café.
The Federal Government committed $2.8 million towards the development of the sports centre.
