The Sunset Soiree organised by the Shoalhaven Eisteddfod Committee and held at the Nowra School of Arts on Friday, November 15, was an undoubted success, according to organisers.

Guests at the Soiree were treated to a delicious grazing table with delicacies supplied by Flavours Shoalhaven, wines from Mountain Ridge Wines, and the tables looked beautiful with native flowers on crisp white tablecloths.
Ornamental platters enhanced the presentation and there was plenty to go around during the evening.
Ona Frazier emceed the evening. The concert performers, all chosen from the best of the 2019 Eisteddfod competition, gave everyone a variety of items.
The DanceWorks troupe, solo ballerina Bonni Bolam, young vocalist Sapphyre Bunyan all impressed.
Senior performers were Arthur Bowcher who was a finalist in the Open Piano competition, and Kirsten Jones, winner of the Operatic Aria competition, gave beautiful renditions of their favourite music.
The evening was topped off with the launch of the 2020 Shoalhaven Eisteddfod by president Rae Harris.
Lucky door prizes followed, a 'best dressed in glad rags' prize, and the results of the silent auction at which lucky purchasers of two Leonard Long paintings, some ballet tickets, some bottles of Mountain Ridge wines, all went home happy.
Committee member Judy Potter said the evening was a success.
"It was a great evening which provided some much needed funds to the Eisteddfod for 2020," she said.
She also thanked the Dog and Monocle restaurant for providing after dinner entertainment.
