Nowra police have confirmed a fire that broke out near Moorehouse Park on Friday, November 15, has been deemed suspicious.

Inspector Ray Stynes said forensic services and criminal investigators were were looking into the blaze, and considered it suspicious.
The blaze erupted behind the derelict Riverhaven Motel shortly before 7am. Three Fire and Rescue crews attended, along with a number of police and a NSW Ambulance crew.

The fire danger rating for the Shoalhaven today is severe, and a total fire ban is in place.
