Dale Chadwick, 29, faced a number of driving-related charges in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, November 12.
Court papers said Chadwick was stopped by police for a random breath test in Paradise Beach Road at Sanctuary Point around 12.40am on July 13.
He returned a positive breath test and later a reading four times the legal limit, 0.211.
During his arrest police also discovered he had an expired licence and was driving a Toyota Camry allegedly without the permission of the owner.
Magistrate Fleming fined him $600 and disqualified him from driving for 12 month on the high range drink driving charge, but dismissed charges of having an expired licence and taking and driving a conveyance without permission under the Mental Healh Act.
She also granted him an exemption from having an interlock device fitted to his vehicle but ordered he be placed under the supervision of a doctor for six months.
