South Coast Police are investigating a house fire in Sanctuary Point they believe may have been deliberately lit.

Just after after 7pm on Tuesday, November 12 a neighbour reported smoke coming from a house on Macleans Point Road in Sanctuary Point.
Fire and Rescue and RFS crews were quick on the scene and extinguished the blaze.
South Coast Police District officers attended and established a crime scene.
The fire was lit on a day of catastrophic fire conditions, when the region was on high alert, although, by the time of the house fire the temperature had dropped to around 17 degrees.
Earlier on Tuesday, October 12 a nine-year-old boy admitted to starting a fire in Worrigee with a blowtorch.
Due to the child's age, he was issued a warning under the Young Offenders Act
