Changed traffic conditions will be in place for road resurfacing as part of essential safety improvement work currently underway.
To minimise impact to motorists, resurfacing work will be carried out at night from Sunday June 30 between 7pm and 4am and will take two nights to complete, weather permitting.
A reduced 40 km/h speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists while work is carried out.
To maintain safety for motorists, a reduced speed limit of 80 km/h will remain in place outside of day and night work hours.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of signs and traffic control and allow up to five minutes additional travel time.
Several additional night shifts will be required early in July to carry out line marking activities and motorists are advised to check electronic message boards for updates.
Remaining safety improvement work will be carried out on weekdays throughout July from 7am to 5pm, weather permitting.
Roads and Maritime Services thanks the community for its patience while the work is extended.
