Emergency services were called to the accident on the corner of Greenwell Point Road and Clipper Road around 8.10pm on Tuesday, June 26.
Police said the woman was riding a pushbike east in the westbound lane of Greenwell Point Road when she collided with an oncoming car.
She wasn't wearing a helmet at the time.
The woman was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital with head injuries and was later airlifted to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police said the incident had once again highlighted the importance of wearing a properly fitted and approved helmet while riding pushbikes.
