A Nowra man, allegedly involved in the theft of three handbags from a store in the Nowra CBD, has been arrested.

Police were called to the Strandbags store at Stockland Nowra around 9.50am on Tuesday, June 25 after reports of the theft.
Police were told a man and woman entered the store and allegedly attempted to intimidate the shop assistant before stealing three handbags and running from the premises.
CCTV cameras captured the incident.
Following investigations by general duties police from Nowra, a 27-year-old Nowra man was arrested later that afternoon.
While talking to the man, police carried out a search of him and found a knife.
Two handbags were also recovered.
He was taken to Nowra police station and charged with a variety of offences and is due to appear before Nowra Local Court.
Inquiries continue in relation to the female involved in the alleged incident.
