It’s moderate pace with some traffic and easy to medium difficulty. A mountain bike is required.
The ride starts at 8am from Kangaroo Valley Showgrounds and follows the Upper Kangaroo River with spectacular views of the sandstone escarpment. There is one significant hill. Bring swimmers if you would like a dip in the rock pool.
For those wanting a shorter ride of around 10km, start at the Upper Kangaroo River Hall at 9am. Coffee and food in Kangaroo Valley after the ride. Contact: Rod 0428 211 487.
The Sunday, December 16 ride is to Comerong Island breakwall, 40km return. Moderate pace, some traffic, easy to medium difficulty. Mountain bike required.
The ride starts at 9am from the carpark, corner of Princes Highway and Pleasant Way, Nowra (at the Helicopter). Ride along Comerong Island Road through Terara and Numbaa to the ferry.
Take the ferry across to the island and ride to the breakwall at the southern end of Comerong Island and then return the same way.
