This year’s winner was Luke Taylor from Gerringong with a good score of 73. It was heard to be said by one of our members to one of our members today and I quote, Please don’t park your buggy in front of the green, as it means I can’t hit off from the tee in case I hit it. The Vincentia Course continues to improve each time we go there. The greens are starting to look in great shape. Next week’s game is at Sussex Inlet please be ready to hit off at 8am.

The Country Club St George’s Basin Women
The last day of winter was impressive for the 33 women who donned many layers to keep warm and dry on the course to contest a stableford round. In division 1,Jenny Noden had 37 points to win from Lynn Dunn on the c/ b, with Julie Atlee third on 34. Best score of the day went to Jill O’Connor who had an excellent 40 points to take division 2 from Olga Clifton, 36, then President Dell with 35 points. Congratulations Jill on a great round, especially considering the conditions. Our very serious senior golfer, Pat Maidment did it again. Well done Pat. 35 points won division 3 from Lesley Griffiths 33 and Wilma Scarpin 30. We’re delighted to have Wilma back with us after her adventures in Bermagui. NTP prizes went to Julie Kemp, Dell Buckley and Lynne Green. The caravan trip has been good for Lynne’s golf. Restricted space makes for better accuracy does it Lynne? Course renovations are on this week so the September medal round has been moved to 14th September and replaced with another Stableford round. Let’s hope spring will be sprung by then.
