Street lighting will also be installed in the $260,000 upgrade of the intersection.
This project and three others in Gilmore have secured $530,000 in funding under the federal government’s 2018-19 Black Spot Program.
At North Nowra, raised guides, additional signage and street lighting will be installed at the Yurunga Drive and Illaroo Road intersection.
At Gerroa on Crooked River Road south of Riverleigh Avenue, road feature signs, reflective pavement markers, concrete barrier on roadside, guideposts with reflectors, and an improve curved shoulder will be installed.
At Nowra Hill, on the Braidwood Road and Albatross Road intersection, an audio edge line and audio centre line will be installed.
Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis said the community’s input was important in identifying key road upgrades that will save lives.
