A collision at the corner of the Princes Highway and Meroo Road and a ute rollover on the Princes Highway-Moss Vale Road roundabout have contributed to motorists’ woes.
In the first crash, a sedan clipped a northbound ute, which rolled the driver and passenger in the ute.
They were able to escape through the passenger’s window after the crash.
They were thankful not to be injured, and said seat belts were their saving grace.
Paramedics, police officers and firefighters attended the scene to treat those involved for shock, manage traffic and clear the damaged vehicle from the road.
Though the first accident involving the ute and sedan has been cleared, there are heavy delays.
One person has reported that the trip from Berry to Bomaderry had taken 90 minutes.
Live traffic is advising motorists to allow 25 minutes extra travel time.
Police are urging drivers to take extra care on the roads, and avoid the Princes Highway if possible.
