Shoalhaven Heads and Berry Football Club has appealed to the public for help in identifying hoons who drove onto the Vic Zealand Oval and tore up the grass in January.

The appeal comes after the latest case of vandalism at the Shoalhaven Heads oval early on Friday morning.
The normally immaculate oval was streaked with track marks after hoons did burnouts at 2.22am on Friday.
The track marks from January’s efforts are still visible.
The damage has been disheartening for club volunteers, who maintain the oval themselves.
With the soccer season fast approaching, volunteers have worked hard to patch up the ground that was damaged last week.
“It’s happened twice now,” president Aimee Newell said
“Our grounds committee, made up partly of retirees, treats it like their own, they love the grounds.”
Both crimes were caught on CCTV, and unfortunately the footage of the latest incident was too dark to identify perpetrators or the number plate of what appeared to be a four-wheel drive.
However, on January 25, those involved may have incriminated themselves by leaving the car, and roaming near the club house.
“We were able to get their faces on camera,” president Aimee Newell said.
“They should know we are watching.”
The CCTV footage was handed to police, but they have not yet been able to track down perpetrators.
To secure the premises and prevent future invaders, the grounds committee will go to extra lengths.
“Where the bush area is, there are a couple of spots where cars can squeeze through,” Aimee said.
“Our groundsman will put up more bollards to keep them out.”
