Shoalhaven City Council is inviting two lucky young people under 18 years of age to shadow one of our rangers for a day and see the work they do daily.
This experience is to celebrate Youth Week held during 13-22 April 2018.
The Young Ranger of the Day will see first-hand how our rangers protect, clean, guide, investigate, inform our community and experience if this is a career for you.
From missing pets to illegal dumping - public safety to general environmental protection, the council rangers’ daily routine is exciting and different every day.
The council ranger is one of the many faces of council.
The team are solutions driven and are there to ensure our community is safe to enjoy the local area and lifestyle.
This is an opportunity for young people to enjoy a unique experience.
To apply to be a Young Ranger of the Day enter on the Council website under Youth Week and answer this question: What do you think a Council Ranger does?
Parents’ or guardians’ consent will be required.
Young rangers will not be put in any situations of danger and will be with a ranger at all times.
Applications close April 10.
