He came up with a few beauties after last weekend’s Shoalhaven cricket semi-finals.
First grade semi-final
Bomaderry’s 9/389 against Bay and Basin was the highest total in a first grade semi-final in 20 years, and third highest on record – behind Pyree’s 3/513 in 1929-30, and Nowra’s 3/429 in 1997-98.
Third grade semi-final
Sussex Inlet’s 373 against Nowra was the second highest total ever made in a SDCA third grade semi-final, but it was well short of the 2/445 made by Wandandian against Tomerong in 1965-66.
Top scorer Jake Westley’s 144 was also the second highest individual tally, behind Wandandian’s Merv Hayward who made 203 in the above match.
The grand final draw is:
First grade:
Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen’s v Bomaderry at Hayden Drexel Oval
Second grade:
Nowra v Berry Shoalhaven Heads at Berry Sporting Complex
Third grade:
Sussex Inlet v Bay and Basin at Sussex Inlet
Fourth grade:
Bomaderry v Sussex Inlet at Bomaderry Sporting Complex
