Havenlee School at North Nowra is now home to an outdoor gym, which will allow students with disabilities to train and let off some steam during recess, lunch and PDHPE.

The three-year project was completed for the official opening on Tuesday.
With funds from The Veola Mulwaree Trust and the school’s P&C committee, the gym was built to benefit the kids.
Blokes from the local men’s shed taught the kids how to be safe around the construction site while it was being built.
“It will be a well-used resource,” Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis said.
“It’s great, they’ll be able to go and let off some steam if they’re having trouble in class,” Shoalhaven mayor Amanda Findley said.
“It’s an addition to what is an incredible facility here,” Shoalhaven Cr Greg Watson said.
“It’s a really special place.”
The teachers at the school were the brainchildren of the gym – suggesting to the P&C it would be a great facility to have with the space available.
“It’s all curriculum-based,” Havenlee P&C president Patrick O'Keeffe said.
“Good for their health, great for the community in a way that the children are learning how to stay fit, that will take strain off our government bodies and hospitals in time.
“It’s been a great project.”
Havenlee’s signing choir welcomed visitors by signing to the acoustic version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and everyone was impressed by their skills.
