The Bureau of Meteorology warns severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.

The warning now covers the majority of the Illawarra.
10.15am: It’s a soggy Sunday morning across the Illawarra – and the wet weather isn’t going anywhere in a hurry.
A very high chance of rain, possibly heavy at times, is forecast in Wollongong on Sunday. There’s also the chance of a storm during the morning.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast up to 50 millimetres of rain in the city on Sunday, with further falls of up to 20mm possible on Monday.
However, other parts of the Illawarra and Shoalhaven have already been soaked early on Sunday – 31mm fell in Nowra between 6am and 9am, while Kiama saw 13.6mm in the same period.
The heaviest falls to 9am on Sunday were in the Shoalhaven – 53mm at Grassy Gully, west of Nowra; 52mm at Fitzroy Falls and 51mm at Foxground.
The rainfall is linked to a cold front and associated trough, which are moving across southern and central parts of the state.
The system will combine with high atmospheric moisture to produce rainfall across much of eastern NSW on Sunday and Monday , the bureau said.
