Amazing Graze is the first fundraiser for 2018 for Bomaderry Public School and is open to the whole community. 

Local singer and songwriter Elizabeth Rae is set to light up the night while you fill your belly with delicious grazing platter treats from AMAZing Grazing. There will also be sweets available and beverages can be bought from the bar. 

Amazing Grace is a child free event but infants are welcome. 

Tickets are $20 per adult and includes food and entertainment. All funds raised will go towards helping the school purchase a defibrillator. 

Bomaderry Public School P&C president Scott Balsar encouraged everyone to come along and help the school buy the life-saving piece of equipment. 

“We think it’s very important that we have a defibrillator so we’re really hoping to see as many people as possible for a great night out,” he said. 

Scott said there might even be a victory cartwheel if 80 tickets are sold. 

“My wife Carla is also on the P&C and she’s pledged to do a cartwheel in the office if we reach that number,” he said. 

The cost of a defibrillator, including constant upkeep and training, comes in at $3000 but paramedic Greg White from South Coast First Aid said it’s a small price to pay.

“For every minute that goes by without one (defibrillator) the chance of survival drops seven to 10 percent,” he said. 

The defibrillator also comes with continued support from South Coast First Aid. 

“We run a program called Heart Smart Shoalhaven Program where we look after the debrilillarot, show people how to use it and ensure it’s constantly maintained and in usable condition,” Greg said.
