Mr Brown had a smile on his face because he celebrated his 97th birthday.
Family and friends helped the North Nowra resident celebrate this wonderful occasion.
Mr Brown is an unassuming man and many people would not know he helped an important community group form.
He played a significant role in forming the Nowra-Bomaderry Meals on Wheels group which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
Mr Brown said setting up the Meals on Wheels group was a big job.
“I am thankful I was able to help build it up,” he said.
His life was dedicated to helping others.
As an evangelist he had to travel all over NSW and his role was teaching organisations how they could help people in their communities.
The North Nowra resident has another milestone he would like to reach.
“I hope I can reach 100-years-of-age,” he said.
If anyone deserves to reach 100-years-of-age it’s the inspirational Mr Brown.
