With only a month until the Shoalhaven Women’s Wellness Festival, the organising committee is encouraging the community to support women through tough times.

The Shoalhaven Women's Wellness Festival Committee is seeking expressions of interest for the Women's Wellness Fund.

In 2017 the Shoalhaven Women’s Wellness Festival organising committee launched the Shoalhaven Women’s Wellness Fund to enable it to make an even bigger contribution to the Shoalhaven community.

Organiser Louisa Sassen said funds help women in a variety of ways.

“We are excited to announce that the committee has up to $5000 available to provide additional funds to local cancer or mental health support services who work with women,” she said.

“The committee is therefore calling for expressions of Interest from Shoalhaven-based organisations.”

Successful applicants will be announced during the 2018 Shoalhaven Women’s Wellness Festival.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 15 at Nowra Showground from 1-6pm.

The festival is free and all are invited to attend a fun filled day where many community services, businesses and entertainers come together connect with women to embrace life and build a resilient community.

There will be performances, information stalls, delicious food, market stalls and giveaways.

For a copy of the guidelines and an expression of Interest (EOI) form please email Judith at community@sns.org.au.

Since its inception the festival has connected more than 3000 women with important health information and services solely through a one day festival every year.

The support fund was established to continue to support women throughout the year, well after the festival has passed.

It’s still possible to donate to the fund. More funds means more women can be supported.
