There is plenty of parking nearby, and there was no one using it on Saturday morning.
Despite a couple of teething problems, including excess rubbish building up next to the Nowra Woolworths depot, and a number of cans and bottles not being accepted, the scheme has been popular among locals.
It is not uncommon to see residents queued out the front of Woolworths waiting to use the reverse vending machines.
There are two yellow bins beside the new Stocklands depot, and signage encouraging people to take their rubbish home with them.
