Residents will be able to access the webcast via council’s website.
Three key meetings – strategy and assets committee, development committee and ordinary meeting – will be broadcast each month.
A majority of councillors voted in favour of the move at a council meeting on Tuesday night, apart from Councillors John Levett and Nina Cheyne.
Cr Mitchell Pakes, who pushed for progress on the matter, argued it would allow more people to access information from meetings.
“The reality is, people have lives, many community members have told me they would love to be there, but they simply can't,” Cr Pakes said.
“It's another way for community to get involved in council matters.
“It’s an open and transparent way for people to view the discussion.”
The only drawback of the plan is that if State Government law changes and requires council to webcast every meeting, they may not be able to bring meeting to Ulladulla in future, as webcast set up costs can be upwards of $15,000.
