Kurt Bradley Waples, 18, pleaded guilty to police pursuit, driving at speed, in Nowra Local Court on Monday.
Court papers said police, conducting mobile radar checks, recorded Waples’ black Mitsubishi Lancer travelling at 132km/h in a 70km/h zone on The Wool Road at Worrowing Heights around 10.53pm on December 22 last year.
Police activated their lights and sirens but the vehicle failed to stop, with the pursuit reaching speeds well in excess of the signposted 70-80km/h limits.
Police evidence said the chase lasted 41 seconds, covering 1.4km with an average speed of 120km/h.
Officers said Waples passed five oncoming vehicles at high speed during the chase.
He also had an 18-year-old passenger in the car.
Checks revealed he had only obtained his P1 licence [red P-plates] on September 12.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming disqualified Waples from driving for 12 months and placed him on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
