In a case brought by the RSPCA, Darren James Treyvaud, 42, faces four charges of a proprietor/manager not complying with the requirement of disclosure.
Court papers said Treyvaud failed to comply with the requirements under the Animal Welfare Code of Practice for animals in a pet shop.
It is alleged between January 23 and March 8 last year he failed to keep records for the acquisition of animals, what breed they were, dates of birth, dates of acquisition, the name and addresses of the people who supplied the animals, their breeds or the record of sale.
It is also alleged he failed to provide sufficient perches for birds in cages and did not display the required return of animals information.
The matter will be back in court on February 9.
