The P&O Pacific Explorer turned up the day the container ship MSC Luisa was ordered out of the bay.
That vessel was told to leave by NSW Roads and Maritime Services, which said it did not have a permit to to anchor in the marine park, something the shipping company disputes.
The Pacific Explorer left Sydney on Tuesday for a three-night comedy cruise. The route shown on the company website does not show it entering Jervis Bay.
The cruise ship has a permit from the Marine Park to visit Jervis Bay.
“The permit ensures they anchor in a designated area to minimise any environmental impacts,” said a Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson.
