A mother has died, her son is in hospital with a critical head wound and her husband has head and leg injuries following a head-on collision on Matron Porter Drive on Thursday.

A west-bound Volvo and an east-bound Suburbu collided on the road, near Frogs Holla sportsground, shortly before 4pm in a 60 km/h zone.
The 36-year-old female passenger of the Subaru has died.
The 36-year-old male driver of the same car, the female’s husband, was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital with critical leg and head injuries.
Their son, 5, is in the Sydney Children’s Hospital with critical facial injuries.
The 39-year-old male driver of the Volvo was been taken to Milton Ulladulla Hospital for observation and mandatory blood and urine tests.
Officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command have established a crime scene. Crash Investigation Unit officers attended and have commenced inquiries into the crash.
Police have urged anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward and contact investigators.
