This year has been an amazing one for Riverwatch, with it growing in volunteers and projects.
Riverwatch has six active sites, with projects at Nowra Golf Club, Bamarang, Riversdale and Bolong.
This year they have constructed more than 500 metres of sand sausage, propagated 900 mangroves in their nursery at the Golf Club and planted 700 trees at six sites.
In recognition of their work, Shoalhaven Riverwatch was awarded a Highly Commended for Innovation at the NSW Landcare Awards in Albury in October.
Riverwatch activities will commence again in February. The group is always keen for more volunteers.
