Nominations for the International Women’s Day Awards Shoalhaven 2018 are now open.
Next year will be the 21st year that women have been acknowledged with awards at the historic house museum, Meroogal.
Awards are presented to women who go above and beyond to create an improved community and environment for all.
If you know a woman like this please nominate her and she can receive the recognition she deserves.
Nominations are encouraged for women who are residents of the Shoalhaven and who volunteer their time, energy and skills in the categories:
• Contribution to Arts and Culture
• Contribution to Community Sporting Groups
• Contribution to the Conservation of the Environment and Heritage
• Contribution to Multicultural Communities
• Contribution to Community & Social Services
• Contribution to Health and Wellbeing
• Contribution to Business and Economic Development
• Contribution from a Young Woman aged 15-24
• Contribution from a TAFE student
The International Women’s Day Awards Shoalhaven will be presented at Meroogal, corner of West and Worrigee Street Nowra, on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
The awards will be presented between 1pm and 3pm. Nominations close on February 16, 2018.

Award winners will be notified by post or email.
International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world on March 8th.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2018 is “Leave no woman behind”, examining the vital role that women play in humanitarian and disaster planning and response. International Women’s Day is held annually on March 8.
