About 4.15pm on Sunday, December 17, a 26-year-old man was arrested at Liverpool Police Station by officers attached to Liverpool Police Transport Command (PTC).
The 26-year-old man was charged with nine offences, including carried in conveyance (x3), robbery whilst armed with dangerous weapon, aggravated assault with intent to take and drive in company (x2), destroy property in company by fire, use weapon to avoid apprehension and aggravated break, enter and steal.
He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today, Monday, December 18.
Just before 5pm on Tuesday, December 12, officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended a jewellery store in Owen Street, Huskisson, following reports it had been robbed.
Officers were told three men armed with firearm, assaulted the store owner and stole cash and jewellery before escaping in a stolen car. This was located nearby a short time later.
It is then alleged the men carjacked two cars, with a woman injured during one of the incidents.
Officers undertook extensive patrols in an effort to locate the men and initiated a pursuit of a car on Jervis Bay Road which was terminated due to the manner of driving.
An officer approached the car at Tomerong a short time later as the three men exited the vehicle, still armed with the firearm, and fled into bushland.
