A Sussex Inlet man found with an arsenal of illegal firearms hidden in a variety locations at a Nowra Hill property has been jailed.

Clayton Milton Love, 42, pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit in Wollongong District Court.
Charges of possessing prohibited weapons, numerous not keeping a firearm safety charges and possessing ammunition without a permit, were also taken into account during his sentencing.
Court papers said in January this year police were alerted to the possible stash of weapons at the property after investigating a separate incident.
Officers found six firearms including a 410 shotgun, a SPAS Brescia 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a SKS Rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, a Ruger 10/22 rifle with a detached silencer and a Ruger 357 magnum revolver hidden in a variety of locations.
A number of the weapons were not registered and one, the pistol, was a prohibited weapon.
Judge Andrew Haesler sentenced Love to three years and nine months’ jail from January 14 this year, with a non-parole period of two years and three months.
